Left lower back pain?

Question by cutesy 2: Left lower back pain?
Okay I need help! About 2 months ago I fell on the ice straight on my butt. I hit so hard I thought I broke something. About 1 month later I began experiencing left side lower back pain, hip pain and hip flexor pain that is constant. I’ve been taking Naproxen as prescribed, and going to a physical therapist. He’s diagnosed me so far with sacrialiliacitis but can’t tell me whether my back pain is causing my hip pain which is causing my “sacrialiliac pain”. I’ve had 1 x-ray which shows nothing. Oh yeah and I’m having sporactic numbness and tingling, which I told him about but since it’s 1 sided he doesn’t think it’s a herniated disk. I’m becoming very discouraged!! I’m in contant pain causing me to “gimp” without any relief yet. Can anyone out there help me should I be asking him anything specific to look at?? Anything!!

my husband has the very same thing on his left leg, and hi pain he’s having numbness in his left leg and tingling. we believe it is a SCIATICA. Right now we are trying chiropractic and we’ll see what happens. the chiropractor said we do the therapy for 6 months to a year if nothing changes we are planning to have an MRI and see a neurologist.

do not rush any surgery explore everything first before you consider surgery.

Definitely have them check for nerve damage. X-ray doesn’t show enough ask for an MRI and definitely do therapy and ask therapist about trying traction to see if it gives any relief

X-rays will not show inflammation, disc bulges, or muscle spasms which can cause the low back pain and numbness tingling you are experiencing. ANY type of tingling pain that travels into the leg warrants an MRI of the lower back to rule out a disc bulge or blown disc, which in turn can irritate the nerves that feed into your leg. You may have to see a chiropractor so they can evaluate and treat you. Ice to cool of the inflammation, massage to the lower back region, and electrical stimulation / ultrasound can help ease your pain and speed your healing. Your lower back may be “locked” and stiff and gentle chiropractic adjustments to your lower back may help free up any fixated joints that are not moving correctly. Chiropractic adjustments help restore motion in the spine that are locked down from muscle spasms and inflammation. Seek a chiropractor that does rehab along with an M.D. at his disposal in case you need pain killers and muscle relaxers to help ease your pain along your journey to recovery.

You need to go to a chiropractor and see if an adjustment would help. I take a liquid vitamin and mineral supplement that has helped with my pain management. I have lupus and am post polio and have managed to get off of three medications with the supplement. Check out the link below and read the testimonials.
