@69tykes I just had this surgery less than 2 weeks ago. I had right leg pain and right foot was numb for 8 months! Right now I have no pain, can walk long distances, and my life is so much better. Recovery is easy. The only part that is a pain in the butt is waking up after the surgery.

@northernaids Only medicine can help, not cure. If there was a god, do you think we’d be in the shit we’re in? Think about it.

  4. wytdevlsaint says:

@VIRGILIO753 what a crock of shit, I Used to beLIEve & pray.. I lost my Mom & Girlfriend to cancer. My daughter wants nothing to do with me….. give it up, there is no god, plain & simple. History simply repeats itself.

Looks like I’m having this done in May some time unless I can get in earlier,in agony again as I type laid in bed.MRI showed a large bulge & after 6 months of no improvement enuffs enuff!!!!! Probably going to be the longest six weeks of my life but hopefully worth it!!!!!

i have 5 prolapsed discs would this opp work for me

  7. keicee1000 says:

I would strongly advice to do the op. I had this surgery done 4 weeks ago and I feel great. No leg pain, no numbness – still a bit sore, still not able to tie my shoelaces – BUT THERE IS NO PAIN. If your pain is unbearable and is not going away in 6 weeks – don’t hesitate, do the surgery!

@polocu23 Still, better. I have little pain in my ankle. From the nerve I guess. But, it was a whole lot worse before surgery.

@antanukas is not a DR who will harm firstable you must search for the best qualified DR ask friends, if not try alternative medicine like Manipulative ostheopathic,it will help, losing weight, light exercices,,osteopathic is combine with rehab at the same time you will feel the relief rigt away,do this and you can forget about surgury for awhile, but rmember firstable you can have herniated disc, nerve impigment ,or facetory arthrosis,a DR in osteopathic will help with hernias but the A.F

  19. Jdog5785 says:

I went with back surgery. I am 25, I shouldn’t have needed it. But, a typical 25 year old doesn’t lift people that are in wheelchairs and such. I believe I injured my back while lifting someone or something. Things seem to be better, currently two days after surgery. Thank god

  20. MachDaddyXI says:

@antanukas omg i have the exact same fear, did you ever find the answer to this???

  21. sassynattie71 says:

Prior to surgery, I saw a chiropractor who said I wouldn’t need surgery, he did manipulations and acupuncture, I then did PT, made it WORSE, and then had two rounds of steroid injections. The pain management doc said the steroids wouldn’t work since my bulge was so large. He was right. I appreciated that my doc was conservative. Now all is well, no nerve pain, and I am almost back to life as I knew it prior to surgery. Thank God I was in shape before this all happened..made healing easier..

  22. sassynattie71 says:

I had this surgery in Aug 2010, they removed 65% of my L5/S1 disk..and had IMMEDIATE relife…I am 38, was VERY active prior to my injury in Jan 2010, and began a walking program the day after surgery. They did not fuse or insert a pin. I feel amazing. I live in the Cleveland, OH area and had my miracle surgery at Metro Health Medical Center by Dr. Timothy Moore. AMAZING care and an amazing doctor. I am so glad that I chose the surgery instead of dealing w/awful nerve pain from my butt-leg.

    @AngeloR674
    Thanks for your response.

  24. AngeloR674 says:

@antanukas yes it is possible to have surgery or surguries and fail depending on what the problem is.. usually disk hernations heal over time threw proper exercising and streching…. and physical therapy… DEPENDS ON HOW BAD THE HERNATION IS A MICRODISCETOMY IS NOT A REALLY INTENSE SURGERY ..

  25. antanukas says:

I strongly doubt whether you will reply to my comment, but anyway – is it possible to make this kind of operation and fail? I mean, is it possible that an operation will do more harm than good? I’ve tried all the possible ways to treat my hernias which cause sciatica, but they just don’t work, so I am thinking about having an operation. But the thought that an operation can make my condition even worse just drives me crazy.
